When I was first asked “What is your why?” I do not think that I really understood the question. Simon Sinek says,
“People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it”.

Why do I do what I do, why do I study, read and seek out teachers in the field of psychic mediums, energy workers and holistic health? By doing this, I am empowered to take my life and do with it what I choose to. Why do I want to be a source of encouragement to all the people I know? Because I want to empower others to find their light. Find their healing. Find their truth. Live the way that their soul guides them.

I had done all the things our current society tells us we should. I made a career, got married, had a son, bought a house and lived a very comfortable life (monetarily speaking). This is what my parents told me would make me happy. It’s what my Grandma said would make me feel fulfilled. Then why did I struggle each day to get out of bed in the morning? Why was I constantly fighting a battle within myself of what my mind told me I was “suppose to” do verses what “felt right”? Because that was their dream, not mine.

Yes, we all want to achieve certain goals in our lives, however, I was never told, “find your passion in life”. A passion I believe is much different than a goal. When we are passionate about something we can lose ourselves in it, it is a feeling, not a check mark next to a box. It gives you energy, it does not take energy away. It fills you up.

I can clearly recall the moment I first felt the fulfillment of following my passion. When I started offering Tarot Readings, I did them for friends and family to gain confidence in my practice. Roughly two months after my journey had begun, I did a reading for a friend of mine whom I had not seen in almost a year. After reading her cards, she shared with me her connection to each one and how valid it all felt for her. I think she and I both walked away from that Reading changed. That was the moment I knew that I was following my heart path. I was not only able to connect with her on a deep and personal level, but I was able to give her a sense of validation. This feeling was in no way linked to my ego; it was like the universe was simply working through me. It made me humble and grateful. The light that was coming out of me in that moment would have reached miles across the ocean. This light, this is what had been missing from my life. Those who want to seek their light will eventually find it. This is my belief.

The world is very loud, it's distracting and chaotic at times. However, it is in the quiet that we receive guidance. Our bodies are amazing at telling us what we need, but the world around us can be so much louder. I was distracted for years, but when my whole world was stripped from me (my home, my job, my relationships). I suddenly found myself in a sea of quiet. That is when I felt the push to follow my heart to where I am right now. I was exhausted trying to live day after day not living in my truth. The freedom that I feel now is a reality that I did not even know existed.

I am a woman who is continuing to learn how to love myself and others unconditionally. With grace, love and hope I will hold true to my most authentic self. That is my passion for all women, to love themselves and to live in their truth. A fire starts with a single spark, every dream simply starts as an idea. I have a vision that we can flourish in each other’s light.
